A young girl, her waitress mother, and her grandma decide to save coins in a big jar. They are hoping that they can buy a new chair for their apartment. The mom and child want a chair that the mom can relax in after being on her feet all day as a waitress. The family has not had a comfortable sitting place since the fire in their apartment. Finally, the jar is full. The mother, daughter, and Grandma search four different furniture stores, and after carefully trying several chairs, they find the chair they've wanted all along.
