The 24th book is called Caps For Sale written and illustrated by Esphyr Slobodkina.
A peddler is trying to sell the caps that he is carrying on his head. He starts to feel sleepy and decides to rest under a tree. When he goes to sleep, all the caps he stacks on his head are there. When he wakes up and goes to feel all of his caps, they are gone. He can only find them once he looks up and sees a monkey on every branch, and on every monkey is his cap. He tries to outwit the monkeys to regain his caps and continue his day.
