All the birthday boy wanted for his birthday was a house for his dolls. But instead, Grandpa gives him a toolbox! The boy tries to think of things he can do to the toolbox to eliminate it. One day, the boy notices a bird whose nest has fallen. It gets the boy thinking that he could make the bird a new house with the help of Grandpa, of course. It leads to the boy helping others around the neighborhood, allowing the boy to learn how to love and use the toolbox. Ultimately, the boy can make his dollhouse with his tools and grandpa.
