The adventure is off on this new and crazy blog idea. Yes, I know that it is technically not the first day of January, but I didn't come up with this idea until I was laying in bed having my crazy teacher brain not shutting off before coming back to work for Winter break. So this is the best I can do. This will not be the only day that I may have one or two posts due to life and teaching.
The first book I tackled was When Grandma Gives You a Lemon Tree, written by Jamie L. B. Deenihan and illustrated by Lorraine Rocha.
It is a story about a young girl looking forward to getting items on her long list of birthday gifts. However, her grandma just shows up with a lemonade tree. The book takes you on the adventure of the girl's distaste for the lemon tree, nurturing the tree, and then, finally, enjoyment.
